Heritage Auctions Heritage Auctions, established in 1976, is the largest collectibles auctioneer and third largest auction house in the world. They offer a wide range of items from US and world coinage, historical & political memorabilia and books to original art, photography, comic books and movie posters.Heading up the movie poster department is Grey Smith (Director) & Bruce Carteron (Auction Coordinator).Grey studied film and received a degree in Communications
from the University of Texas at Austin, after which he pursued a career in the
motion picture industry, traveling the globe as a Set Decorator and Prop Master
from the late 1970s through the late 1990s. As an Art Director, he worked on
more than 35 feature films, with many famous directors and always searched for,
collected and sold movie posters and studied the market. In 2001 he began as
Heritage's first Movie Poster Expert and now heads the world's #1 Vintage
Poster Auction venue. Bruce opened the first movie poster shop in Denver,
Colorado, more than 30 years ago, and began attending film conventions to expand
his business. He eventually started a mail order catalog and Internet business
devoted to posters, which he ran until 2004. Bruce joined Heritage Auctions in
early 2006, where he helps coordinate the Signature and Weekly Auctions.
